Funeral Services: Will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. Pastor Eric Schubert will officiate the service. A luncheon will be held at the Greenfield United Methodist Church following the committal service at the cemetery.
Open Visitation: Friends may call at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Friday evening, February 16, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.
Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arlene Bunce was born July 24, 1929 in Stuart, Iowa to Art E. and Edith (Lewis) Sackett. She passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 88 and has lived in Raytown, Missouri for several years.
Arlene was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing cards, arts and craft projects. She was a member of the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church Raytown Campus and was also a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group.
Survivors include; a daughter, Diane McKinney and husband Dennis of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Vera Schneider of Greenfield, IA and Lou Maynes of Carson, IA; 2 brothers, Frank Sackett of Greenfield, IA and Harry Sackett of Stuart, IA and 2 grandchildren, Terresa McKinney and Christine McKinney.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl R. Bunce in 1977; her parents, a brother, Leroy Sackett, a sister, Velma Tiedeman, 2 children, David and Lynette Bunce and a grandson, Robert McKinney.
