Bob Holste, 79, of Massena

Robert William Holste was born on February 7, 1944, the son of Wallace and Bethel (Johnston) Holste in Creston, Iowa.  He passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his home in Massena, Iowa, at the age of 79. 

Bob grew up on a farm south of Massena and attended country school for eight years then he began attending Cumberland and Massena School until graduating in May of 1962.  On July 22, 1989, he was united in marriage to Mary Sue Porter.  They made their home in Massena.  Bob worked for McCunn Implement until 1994.  He then began working for Sitel as an insurance agent until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Holste of Massena; stepdaughter, Tabitha Carroll and husband Mike of Stanberry, Missouri and their sons, Vince and Brody; two brothers, Wayne Holste and wife Verlene of Atlantic and Norman Holste and wife Brenda of Massena; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
