Bryland Erb

Funeral Services: Will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, Iowa. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the services. Pastor Mark Underkofler will officiate the service.  

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Sunday June 16, 2019, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Bryland Erb Memorial Fund at the Union State Bank in Greenfield, Iowa. 

The superhero known as Mr. Bee hung up his cape on June 10, 2019.

Bryland Emmanuel Erb gained his secret identity when he was born on March 24, 2017, in Atlantic, Iowa. He used his amazing courage and perserverance to fight overwhelming odds and his personality was larger than life. Bryland came into Rhonda Erb’s life on November 2, 2017 and was adopted on November 17, 2018. He continued to grow in strength and used his superpowers to spread happiness and calm wherever he went. Bryland made the world a better place through his compassion, love and joy. Superhero Bee gave the gift of life to others by being an organ donor.

Bryland is joining his grandpa, Gary Erb and aunt Jennie Erb in the ranks of the mighty in heaven.

He will be watching over his mother, Rhonda Erb of Greenfield; brothers, Patrick and Shane; grandparents, Myrna and Bernie Gundel of Fontanelle; uncles, Brian Erb of Manilla and Kevin Erb of Manning; cousins, Jonathan and Joey Greazel and Rachel and Jesse Erb; aunt, Theresa Baker of Greenfield; cousins, Hayley and Jaxsen Baker; biological mother, Brianna Venatta; uncle Brandon Venatta (Peyton); cousin, Jaxson Venatta; grandpa, Timothy Venatta; as well as countless fans all over the world, who are going to miss him more than they would admit.

This is for my little bumblebee if we had a choice we would of course keep you we would keep you forever, remember that you are ours.
