Charles Hair

Services: Per Charlie’s wishes no services will be held. The Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements.  

Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Charlie Hair memorial fund to be established by the family. 

Charlie Michael Hair was born November 27, 1950, the son of Gerald and Leta (Shad) Hair in Greenfield, Iowa. He passed away on October 4, 2020, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 69.

Charlie worked for the carnival and construction that took him all over the southeastern United States, finally ending in Florida. He loved driving his mud racer he called the "Bar-B-Q Machine", woodworking and many other hobbies.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barb; and sister, Cindy.

He is survived by his son Tony Hair and wife Brenda of Adel; brother, Randall Hair of Greenfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
