Connie Hofmann was born April 28th, 1952 in Greenfield, Iowa to Wilben and Gladys (Hardin) Hofmann. She passed away on January 7, 2023, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Connie grew up in Greenfield and graduated Greenfield High school in 1970. She spent many years working in and around Greenfield. She returned to school and completed her BS in Accounting from Buena Vista University in 2000. Connie did not return to work due to health issues but was able to keep busy with numerous hobbies. Connie had a talent for artistic items such as crafts, photography, and painting. She was always in the middle of puzzles, reading, movies, cross-stitch, or several of these at once. Her collection of cobalt blue glass and love for antiques is proudly displayed throughout her home.
She met the love of her life, forever friend and husband Kevin Edwards in 1979. Kevin joined Connie and her son Blake to complete their family. Connie and Kevin enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, and watching birds and other wildlife together. She was a large John Prine and Janis Joplin fan. Their family took many trips to the zoo and enjoyed family vacations with Connie taking numerous pictures. Connie even took to watching baseball when doing it with Kevin. She cherished time with her two grandsons and family members. Although travel was limited in her later years, she kept up with family across multiple states via phone calls. She looked forward to the annual Hardin reunion to catch up.
Connie is survived by her husband Kevin Edwards of Greenfield, son Blake Norton and wife Melissa along with grandsons Miles and Oliver of Waukee, IA, her brother Larry (Audrey) Dietrich, sister-in-law Barbara Dietrich, brother-in-law Kalvin Edwards, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilben and Gladys (Hardin) Hofmann, sister Donna Goessman, brother Dale Dietrich, parents-in-law Clair Edwards and Betty Means, brother-in-laws John Goessman, Mark Edwards, and Arnie Berry, and sister-in-law Mary Ann Berry.
