Frank Ludwig

Celebration of Life Services:  Will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery.  Full military graveside rites will be held by the Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357.  Rev. Dr. Keith Schweitzer will officiate the service.  The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lambfuneralhomes.com.

Memorials:  May be made to the Frank Ludwig Memorial Fund to be established at a later date.

Frank Delbert Ludwig was born February 20, 1948, the son of Oran and Ruth (Sears) Ludwig in Bridgewater, Iowa.  He passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, at the age of 75.

Frank lived in Adair County most of his life.  He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1966.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  He worked construction until 1997 when he started working for Midwest Fur in Greenfield.  He was an excellent employee, managing the accounts and fur.  He had many friends from the fur business and will be missed by all.  Frank also worked for the Swap Meet in Greenfield for several years.  In 2015, he entered the Veterans Home in Marshalltown and in 2015 he was transferred to Robbinsdale, Minnesota.  He enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles and loved being around kids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Ludwig; and two brothers, Wilbert and Ronnie Ludwig.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Schossow; other relatives and friends.
