Kevin was raised in Greenfield and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1990. He attended Northwest Missouri State University for one year.
On January 20, 1996, he was married to Sara Raasch and to this union two daughters were born: Anna Marie and Olivia Lynn. They later divorced.
In the early 1990’s Kevin was employed by Lisk Construction. Jim was a great mentor to Kevin. He later started Funke Home Builders, which he ran with great pride. He was very proud of his two beautiful daughters and watched their musical and dog activities. Another love of his were his dogs, Fergie and Crush. He took great pride in getting them ready for their competitions to which he had great success. Kevin was a great dog trainer. He was working to get his dad’s dog, Ozzie ready for competitions. Whenever you seen Kevin, you would see his two sidekicks right there with him. Kevin also loved to cook for his family. His mexican dishes, sliders, taco pizza and salsa were some of his favorites. When fall came around, it was fantasy football time. Kevin studied every player and showed up with his folder full of secret information. His newest pastime was going to Prairie Meadows with his dad and he had figured out a formula that seemed to be working for him. Kevin always made sure Gramps could watch Trevor ride bulls if possible.
Kevin had some amazing friends that meant the world to him, that he loved like brothers.
