Kevin Namanny

Funeral Services: Will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cumberland United Methodist Church in Cumberland, Iowa with burial in the Massena Center Cemetery. Pastor Casey Pelzer will officiate the service.  

Open Visitation: Will be held on Friday, October 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena. 

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena. 

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Kevin Namanny memorial to be established by the family at a later date. 

Kevin Ray Namanny was born March 8, 1956, the son of Eugene C. and LaDonna R. (Jones) Namanny in Harlan, Iowa. He passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at his home in Massena, Iowa, at the age of 63.

Kevin was raised in Cumberland and Massena and graduated from Cumberland and Massena High School in 1974. On July 12, 1980, he was united in marriage to Debra South in Atlantic, Iowa. Kevin was a farmer all of his life and he enjoyed fishing, his family and friends, making people laugh and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Namanny; and one brother, Keith Namanny.

He is survived by his two sons, Brian Soper (Amy) of Urbandale and Jared Namanny (Bridget) of Audubon; 8 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; three brothers, Kreig Namanny (Naomi) of Atlantic, Kenny Namanny (Lori) of Cumberland and Kerry Namanny of Cumberland; other relatives and friends.
