Margie Rohner

Funeral Services: Will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle with burial in the Fontanelle Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial at the church.   

Family Visitation: Will be held at the church one hour prior to services. 

Memorials: To the Margie Rohner memorial fund to be established by the family. 

Margie D. Rohner was born February 3, 1925, in Orient, Iowa, to Clem and Florence Bakerink. She passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 89.

In 1942, she married Dale Roy Crees in Orient, Iowa. She married Elmer Rohner on August 12, 1978, both are deceased. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontenelle, until 1997 when she moved to Co. Bluffs Risen Son Christian Village.

During her life she lived in Greenfield, IA, McGregor, IA, Fontenelle, IA and Council Bluffs IA. She was a house wife helping raise her two children. She worked part time as a waitress from time to time. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, dancing, knitting and playing bridge. She loved to read with a cup of coffee by her side right up to the day she passed away.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and sisters; husband and her son Robert Dale Crees.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Phyllis Darlene Congdon; two grandchildren, Rick Dale Taylor & Rachel Sara Langford; seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; a host of friends and nurses who will miss her dearly.
