Funeral Services: Will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Keith Schweitzer will officiate the service.   

Open Visitation without the family present: Will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Memorials: To the Marilyn Faurote memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date. 

Marilyn Ruth Faurote was born May 1, 1929, the daughter of John and Margaret (Schrader) Weber in Orient, Iowa. She passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Greenfield, Iowa, at the age of 91.

Marilyn grew up in Adair County, Iowa and graduated from Greenfield High School. On November 29, 1953, she was united in marriage to Marion Faurote. To this union one son, Michael John was born.

Marilyn enjoyed gardening and worked as a waitress and homemaker. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Marion Faurote in 2008; brother, Ed Weber; three sisters, Louise Kreis, Edna Wiggins and Arlene Harris.

She is survived by her son, Michael Faurote of Greenfield; other relatives and friends.
