Mark Edwards

Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle with burial in the Fontanelle Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church following the committal services at the cemetery. Pastor Steven Broers will officiate the service.  

Open Visitation: Will be held on Sunday, November 18th, at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Sunday at the Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Mark Edwards memorial fund to be established by the family. 

Mark Alan Edwards was born on March 27, 1960 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa to Clair R. Edwards and Betty Ann (Steele) Edwards. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fontanelle, Iowa, on November 13, 2018, at the age of 58.

Mark grew up in Fontanelle. He attended Fontanelle school until 8th grade. He was a truck driver for Kading Ag for the last several years of his life. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, hanging out with friends and family in his spare time. Going to Sturgis was his favorite thing to do during the summer.

He was prededed in death by his mother Betty (Steele) Hazen, father Clair Edwards, grandson Baby Leo Edwards and brother in law Arnie Berry.

Mark is survived by his four children. Alan Edwards (Machelle) of Tabor, IA, Leslie Fritz (Josh) of Tabor, IA, Lindsay Edwards of Kent, IA, and Cami Edwards of Greenfield, IA. Mark has 3 grandkids: Josh Jr, Aubree and Jaxton. Siblings Mary Ann Berry of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kevin Edwards (Connie) of Greenfield, IA, and Kalvin Edwards (Lisa) of Fontanelle, IA. And many friends and relatives.
