Funeral Services: Will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church with burial in the Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair. Pastor Cathy Nutting will officiate the service. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the services prior to burial.
Visitation: The family will greet friends on Wednesday, February 14th, one hour prior to services at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Memorials: Memorials may be directed to the Mary Lou Warrior memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
Mary Lou Warrior was born August 30, 1932, the daughter of Fred and Eleeta (Morse) Lovell in Adair, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle, Iowa, at the age of 85.
Mary Lou was raised in Adair and graduated from Adair High School in 1950. On September 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to Eugene Smith in Adair, Iowa. To this union one daughter, Christine was born.
Mary Lou lived most of her life in Adair County. She enjoyed playing cards and having coffee with friends, loved to read and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In 2004, she was united in marriage to Robert Warrior.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene in 1992; sisters, Jean Toney, Nancy Lovell and Joan Phillips; two brothers, Bob and Jack Lovell; and three infant siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Warrior of Fontanelle; daughter, Chris Reed and husband Ron of Fontanelle; two granddaughters, Misty Carlson (TJ) and Kimberly Howes (Bryan); three great grandchildren, Hanna and Abby Carlson and Bryanna Howes; two sisters, Patty Weston of Dearborn, Michigan and Dorothy Prior of Destin, Florida; other relatives and friends.
