Memorial Services: Will be held on Thurssday, July 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church with burial in the Fontanelle Cemetery. Pastor Cathy Nutting will officiate the service. A luncheon will be held at the church following the committal services at the cemetery.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials: To the Mickey Jameson memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
Mickey Ann Endres Jameson was born February 16, 1953, the daughter of Lloyd and Dorothy (Farwell) Endres in Greenfield, Iowa. She passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Winterset Care Center South in Winterset, Iowa, at the age of 61.
Mickey was united in marriage to Duane Jameson on December 27, 1971. To this union four children were born: Kandi, Jeremy (JJ), Keith and Kellie. Mickey graduated from Fontanelle High School. Mickey and Duane made their home in Fontanelle. Mickey was a stay at home mom for many years. Mickey was employed at the nursing home in Fontanelle starting in 1994. She worked at the Greenfield Manor until 2003.
Mickey loved to sew. She enjoyed making different things out of plastic canvas. She was also known for making pillow case dolls and quilts. Mickey enjoyed riding horses and she always looked forward to going camping and trail rides with Duane. They rode in a lot of parades over the years.
Mickey became ill with Muscular Dystrophy over the last few years which kept her from doing her favorite things in life. She enjoyed having her family around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Keith and Wilma Jameson; sister, Dottie Teas; and granddaughter, Victoria Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Duane Jameson; daughter, Kandi Jameson-Altman and husband Michael of Fort Dodge, son, Jeremy (JJ) Jameson and wife Cassie of California, son, Keith Jameson of Des Moines and daughter, Kellie Taylor of Corning; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Paige, Tiffany, Ashley, Cheyenne, Ebonee and Matthew; one great grandson, Geneo; sister, Freda Scanlan and husband Pete of West Des Moines; brother-in-law, Roger Jameson of Missouri; and two sisters-in-law, Debbie Jameson and Ronda Huddleson and husband John of Fontanelle; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family of Mickey Jameson wishes to express their gratitude for all acts of kindness shown to them in their time of sorrow and invites you to join them for a luncheon at the church following the committal services at the cemetery.
