Funeral Services: Will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Linden United Methodist Church in Linden, Iowa with burial in the West Linn Cemetery, rural Linden. A luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Pastor Dale Schoening will officiate the service. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Linden United Methodist Church from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Phyllis Ann Hoy was born October 22, 1939, the daughter of Joe Ellis and Verda Mae (Richards) Hoy in Linden, Iowa. She passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 84.
Phyllis attended kindergarten at Pitzer and 1st thru 12th grade at Linden and graduated from Linden High School in 1957. After high school she went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company known as Century Link doing clerical work. She retired in 1990, and after retirement she worked for Corporate Express and All Makes Furniture.
Phyllis was a honorary member of Kappa Chi Chapter of Phi Tau Omega Business Sorority, held national offices of Sergeant-of-Arms and treasure offices. She loved her family and attending their activities, enjoyed playing cards, playing the slots, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and Green Bay Packer fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Hoy; three sisters, Vivian, Viola (Bob) Roy and Betty Borst; and sister-in-law, Josephine Hoy.
She is survived by her brother, Lonnie Hoy of Panora; sister, Sally Lamb and husband Joe of Greenfield; several special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
