Priscilla Ann (Sticken) Jensen was born July 23, 1935 to Gerhardt Sticken and Daisy (Oshel) Sticken on a farm in Adams County, Iowa. She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1953. After graduating high school she attended Americana School of Beauty where she lived at the YWCA in downtown Des Moines. After graduating beauty school she worked in Atlantic for a short time. On March 20, 1955 she was united in marriage to Arnold Jensen. Three children were born to this union; Cynthia Sue, Kenneth Alan and Randall Rex.
Priscilla worked hard on the farm milking cows, raising chickens, and gardening. The apple tree on the farm made the best apple pies which she was famous for. She was an excellent cook and there wasn't anything she couldn't make. You never went away hungry.
After retiring from farming Priscilla worked at Bunn, Eaton and Crooks Clothing where she altered anything you could image. She loved to sew and made her granddaughters lots of beautiful dresses. Priscilla took up quilting. She made sure all her grandchildren and great grandchildren had quilts to remember her by. She spent many hours and great pride in her flower gardens.
Priscilla always put everyone else first. Her greatest joy was helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, brothers Don & Jimmie, two sisters-in-law, and a grandson.
She is survived by her husband Arnold of 68 years; daughter, Cindy Anderson & husband Roger, sons, Kenny & wife Pam and Randy & wife Lori; eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother Gerald Sticken and sister Phyllis Feick and husband Max; brother-in-law Jimmy Jensen and wife Marilyn and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for all acts of kindness shown to them during this time.
