Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church with burial following in the Greenfield Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Pastor Melinda Stonebraker will officiate the service. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Open Visitation: Will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Ramona “Monie” Newbury passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. She was born on December 28, 1942, in Greenfield, Iowa, the daughter of Burl and Hazel (Keith) Stout.
Monie lived her whole life in Greenfield and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1959. On March 28, 1959, she was united in marriage to Larry Newbury in Greenfield, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Donna, Terry and Paul.
Monie worked at the Adair County Memorial Hospital from 1967 to 1987 as a cook. Then she went to work for Cardinal IG from 1987 to 2007 and then she was a cook for the Nodaway Valley Community School from 2007 to 2011. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, coffee/tea time with friends, playing cards, going to the casino , bus trips and migrating to Arizona for the winter months.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Stout.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Newbury of Greenfield; daughter, Donna Ray (Paul Owen) of West Des Moines; two sons, Terry Newbury and wife Christina of Des Moines and Paul Newbury and wife Katie of Granger; eleven grandchildren, Brooks Ray and wife Jen, Ashley Ray-Wing and husband Mike Wing, Kyle Ray and wife Meaza, Nick Newbury and wife Megan, Dylan Newbury, Jennifer Taft-Gadbaw and husband Kyle, McKinsey Johnson and fiancé Erin, Jeremiah Johnson and fiancé Mary, Cameron Newbury, Caleb Newbury and Callie Newbury; nine great grandchildren, Peyton, Gunner, Remington, Trey, Azalea, Powell, Abel, Kaleb and Avery; sister, Shirley Fuhs and husband Tom of Webster City, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
