Reginald Allen Sickles was born August 3, 1956, the son of Gerald and Janet (Ruth) Sickles in Greenfield, Iowa. He passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at his home, at the age of 67.

Reggie was raised in Adair County and was very active in Boy Scouts, having attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He would go on to eventually become a scout leader, enjoying several years in this role alongside his brother Joel. He also took great pride in his role as football and wrestling manager at Greenfield High. He graduated in 1975 and joined the Army serving our country at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri, Ft. Belvoir Virginia, and Ft. Carson Colorado from 1975-1979, when he was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Loretta Bristow in June 1981. To this union one child was born, Amber Kay Hanne-Liisa. They divorced in1985, and he married Sonyia Wilson in January 1988. With this union, he gained two stepchildren, Timothy and Amy, whom he cherished as his own. They later divorced.

Reggie was employed by Cardinal Glass in Greenfield from the time he returned from the service in 1979 until he retired in September 2021. In his younger years, Reggie enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He never passed up an opportunity to engage in conversation with anyone he encountered. Reggie loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren endlessly. He never missed a birthday card, or a chance to celebrate any special occasion. Papa Reg was one of a kind.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Timothy.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Barkmann (Lee) of San Tan Valley, Arizona, step-daughter, Amy Perkey (Derek) of Greenfield, grandchildren Issac, Daja, and Harley Barkmann, Jordan Arendt (Nathan), Kennedy and Emma Perkey, Christina, Ryan, and Mason Wilson, three great-grandchildren, sister Carlene Maeder (Ron), brothers Brian and Joel, two nieces, Jennifer Cotham (Chris) and Tera Arquitte (Steve), aunts, uncles and cousins.
