Gerald Armstrong

Rev. Gerald Armstrong went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 09, 2011, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. 

Funeral Services: Monday, March 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church with burial in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter with full military graveside rites conducted by the Iowa National Guard Military Funeral Honors and American Legion Post No. 738. 

Family Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening March 13th at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Open Visitation: Noon to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13th at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Memorials: To the Greenfield United Methodist Church Roofing Project in care of the Steen Funeral Home, P.O. Box 390, Greenfield, Iowa 50849.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Armstrong of Greenfield; two daughters, Deborah Armstrong of San Diego, California and Gwen Johnston and husband Steve of Greenfield; son, Greg Armstrong and wife Deana of Winterset; seven grandchildren, Angela, Jennifer, Ashley, Adam, Brittany, Sarah, and Rachel; two sisters, Carol McGough of West Des Moines and Janice Finke and husband Art of Des Moines; other relatives and friends.
