Richard Borst

Funeral Services: Will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will be at a later date in the West Linn Cemetery, rural Linden, Iowa. Pastor Eric Schubert will officiate the service. 

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield on Monday one hour prior to services. 

Memorials: To the Dick Borst memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date. 

Richard (Dick) Borst was born September 8, 1953, the son of Kenneth (Buck) and Betty (Hoy) Borst in Guthrie Center, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at his home in Greenfield at the age of 62.

Dick grew up in Redfield and attended Dexfield Community Schools in Redfield. Dick had worked for the Redfield Co-op, Des Moines School Systems, Des Moines Register, Walmart and Methodist West Hospital in Des Moines. He enjoyed farming, tractors, spending time with his family and watching sports.

He is survived by his parents, Buck and Betty Borst of Redfield; a daughter, Mandi; grandson, Aiden; two sisters, Vicky Borst of Greenfield and Connie Kostura and husband Paul of Fountain Hills, Arizona; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
