Roelene Lundy

Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. Pastor Eric Schubert will officiate the service.   

Open Visitation: Will be held on Monday, October 23rd, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Monday evening at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Roelene Lundy memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date. 

Roelene Lundy was born on December 25, 1952 in Greenfield, Iowa and she passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, at the age of 64.

Roelene was raised in Greenfield and graduated from Greenfield High School. After high school she worked and then owned Don Carlos Abstract. Roelene was united in marriage to Scott Lundy. To this union one son, Benjamin Russell was born. He is the love of their lives and lots of wonderful memories raising and showing horses will continue with them.

Roelene loved spending time with her family and friends who showed horses. She enjoyed daily phone conversations with her brother, Ted, and appreciated phone calls from others during her days at home. Roelene, Scott and Ben loved going to horse shows and having fun and laughs with all of these special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andy & Eva Funke; brother, Gene Funke, and sister, Jolene Kaloides; nephew, Ben Funke.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Lundy of Greenfield; son, Ben Lundy of Greenfield; brothers, Ted Funke of Creston, Dean Funke of Greenfield and Larry Funke and wife Saundra of Des Moines; sister, Charlene Scheal and husband Patrick of Altoona; other relatives and friends.
