Roger Burg

Graveside Service: Will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bryant Cemetery, rural Fontanelle, Iowa. Pastor Cathy Nutting will officiate the service. The Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements.  

Memorials: To the Roger Burg memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.

Roger Keith Burg was born February 9, 1953, in Fontanelle, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Eleanor (Warrior) Burg. He passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 63.

Roger was a resident of Fontanelle his entire life. He graduated from Fontanelle High School in 1971. Roger was employed at Wellman Dynamics as foundry support for seven years. Roger was a solitary man that enjoyed fishing and hunting but also had a great passion for riding his Harley with a few chosen close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Burg.

He is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
