Scott Funke, 47, of Fontanelle

Mass of Christian Burial: Will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield.  Father Phillip Bempong will officiate the service.  The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lambfuneralhomes.com.

Visitation:  The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Memorials:  May be directed to the Scott Funke Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.

   Scott William Richard Funke was born December 4, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Dean Funke and Sandra Urbin.  He passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at his home in Fontanelle, Iowa, at the age of 47.
   Scott attended Indianola and Greenfield High School.  He was a mechanic (automobiles and boats), electrician, insulation, dry wall and painter and did construction.  He loved riding motorcycles, boating, video games and working on vehicles.  
   He was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Funke; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
   He is survived by his three sons, Scott Jr., Triston and Richard Funke; three grandchildren, Rezric, Myah and Natalia; father, Dean; mother, Sandra; brother, Joseph; two sisters, Angela and Christina; nieces and nephews, Maddison, Brayten, Michelle, Andel and Bradley; uncle, Bob Crook and wife Sylvia; aunt, Charlene Sheall; other relatives and friends.
