Shirley Jackson

Shirley Jackson passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. 

Private Family Graveside Services will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.   

Memorials: To the Shirley Jackson memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date. 

Shirley Jean Jackson was born November 3, 1939, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the daughter of Jack and Lucille (Cavanaugh) Taylor. She passed away on Tuesday, October 11,2016, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa, at the age of 76.

Shirley was united in marriage to Gary Jackson at the Seymore Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina in October of 1966. To this union two sons were born: Shane and Kalvin.

Shirley worked at the Greenfield Manor in Greenfield, Iowa, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. 

She is survived by her husband, Gary Jackson of Massena; two sons, Shane Jackson of Reno, Nevada and Kalvin Jackson of Fillmore, Missouri; two grandchildren, Courtney and Conner Jackson; other relatives and friends.
