Services: Private Family Graveside Services will be held in the Fontanelle Cemetery. The Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the professional arrangements.

Memorials: May be directed to the Shirley Jorgensen memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.

Shirley Jorgensen was born on July 24, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Margot (Barnheart) Spradling in Nebraska. She passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle, Iowa, at the age of 90.

Shirley lived most of her life in Fontanelle and graduated from Fontanelle High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Harold Jorgensen and to this union one son, Harold Steven was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; brother, Jerry Hart; sister-in-law, Lila Hart; and daughter-in-law, Peggy Jorgensen.

She is survived by her son, Steve Jorgensen of Fontanelle; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edna Mae Finck of Indianola; other relatives and friends.
