Thomas Barker

Panora native Thomas Wayne Barker, 60, of Tempe, AZ died November 24, 2010 in Chandler, AZ. He was born January 8, 1950 in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Wayne and Josephine (Flanery) Barker.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had worked at Conway Freight the last 20 years. His father, Wayne Barker, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margarita; three children, Cindy, Lonnie (Susie) and Thomas Jr. and grandchildren James, Kyle, Miranda, Lonnie Jr. and Thomas III, all of the Tempe area; his parents, Josephine and Lonnie Hoy of Panora; two sisters, Rhonda (Rod) Huggins of Panora and JoAnn (Jerry) Miller of Sun City, AZ; three nephews, Michael Huggins of Ankeny, Matthew Huggins of Panora and Jerry Miller of Peoria, AZ; one niece, Sheri Griffin of Phoenix, AZ.

Memorial Service:  Saturday ~ June 4, 2011 ~ 11:00 a.m. First Christian Church ~ Panora, Iowa.

Interment: Morrisburg Cemetery, Rural Stuart, Iowa

Military Rites:  Full Military Graveside Rites By American Legion Frank-Grubb Post No. 372 and V.F.W. Cripe-Iseminger Post No. 5510.
