Viola Radeke

Viola Radeke passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013, in Sarasota, Florida. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery at a later date.

Viola was born on May 18, 1914, the daughter of Archie and Emma Crees in Greenfield, Iowa. She worked at Cowdes Magazine over 20 years in Des Moines. She loved to watch Lawrence Welk Show, play bingo and visit with her grandchildren and life in general. She will be greatly missed by her children, Bob Madison of Des Moines, Carole (Roger) Cawley of Sarasota, Florida; three step daughters, seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; niece; nephew; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister; daughter-in-law and brother-in-law. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. The Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the arrangements.
